Dr Michelle L Todman Smith is an accomplished financial services professional with over two decades of experience encompassing corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and financial supervision. She currently serves as Deputy Registrar of the Registry of Corporate Affairs at the Commission, where she plays the vital role of supporting the Registrar in advancing the operational priorities of the Registry and providing supervision, mentorship and development to Registry staff. Dr Todman Smith has held several senior positions in the financial services industry and the Commission, with the latter including Deputy Director of Banking Supervision and Asia Representative in Hong Kong. She has extensive experience in managing regulatory frameworks, financial oversight, and corporate services, having supervised compliance inspections, policy development, and banking operations. Her background also includes leadership roles in pension management and investment services, with a strong track record in project management and strategic business development. Beyond her professional career, Dr Todman Smith has served on a number of local government agency boards.
