Deputy Director, Operations
Ms. Kamika A Forbes currently serves as Deputy Director of Operations at the BVI Financial Services Commission. She brings extensive legal expertise having practiced civil, property and family law privately and over a decade of experience in financial services and intellectual property law. Prior to joining the Commission, she was fully qualified to practice as a Barrister in the Courts of England and Wales and the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Courts. Ms Forbes has held several senior positions since joining the Commission, including Senior Legal Counsel and Deputy Registrar of Trade Marks, Patents, and Copyright. With her background in law, Ms Forbes has successfully led various legal and operational functions. Her career journey includes other significant roles, such as an associate with a distinguished legal firm in the BVI and pupillages in prestigious chambers in London and Liverpool.
