TRUST INVESTMENT BANK BVI

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 16 August 2018 – The British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (the “FSC”) considers it necessary to issue this public statement in order to protect the public, and the interests of any customers or creditors of TRUST INVESTMENT BANK BVI  (the “Company”), and to make the general public aware that the Company has never been licensed or regulated by the FSC to carry on any type of financial services business[1]. 

The details are:

The Company, which purports to be registered at Bougainville Kemp House, 152-160 City Road, London ECIV 2NX, and which has been connected to the website address www.trustinvestmentbankbvi.com, has falsely claimed that it is the first Islamic bank in the BVI. The Company was not incorporated in the BVI and has never been licensed by the FSC to conduct any type of financial services in the BVI.

Members of the public are therefore advised to exercise extreme caution if solicited at any time and should refrain from conducting any financial services business with the Company.

The public is invited to provide the FSC with any relevant information on this matter, and any other questionable entities that are purportedly operating in or from within the BVI.

The FSC has issued this Public Statement pursuant to Section 37A(2) of the Financial Services Commission Act, 2001.
