Trenton Line Slip - Advisory Notice - No.1 of 2004

The general public is HEREBY ADVISED that Trenton Line Slip Administrators, LLC and Trenton Line Slip are not licensed under the Insurance Act, 1994 of the British Virgin Islands to carry on insurance business. Nor are Trenton Line Slip Administrators, LLC and Trenton Line Slip incorporated or registered in the British Virgin Islands. Extreme caution should be exercised in dealing with Trenton Line Slip Administrators, LLC and Trenton Line Slip. The Financial Services Commission should always be contacted to verify the regulated status of any company purporting to be registered or authorised in the BVI. 

Background
Trenton Line Slip Reinsurance (BVI) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Trenton Line Slip Administrators, LLC, was licenced under the Insurance Act, 1994 to carry on general insurance business from 31st December 2000. Its licence was not renewed in 2003 and on 15th May 2003, it was advised that it was no longer permitted to carry on insurance business. However, the Commission has copies of advertising materials that indicate that Trenton Line Slip claims to be transacting reinsurance business from an office in Road Town, Tortola, using a corporate vehicle established in the BVI.
