Ms Dian D Fahie held various positions in the Registry of Corporate Affairs at the Commission before shifting gears to pursue her legal career. On her return from qualifying as a Barrister at Law in the United Kingdom, she entered the then Legal and Enforcement Division, where she excelled, quickly attaining the position of Senior Legal Counsel and, subsequently, that of Deputy Director. As Director of the Legal Division, she has the significant responsibility of being the chief legal advisor to the Commission and overseeing its team of lawyers. Over the span of her legal career, Ms Fahie has acted as lead counsel in many cases that have helped to develop Virgin Islands jurisprudence, particularly on matters concerning financial services legislation. Throughout her career, Ms Fahie has also provided expert support as a junior to King’s Counsel who have been engaged from time to time to advance the Commission’s stance in major courts. She has also provided advice on notable cases affecting the application of corporate law in the Virgin Islands. Ms Fahie’s career with the Commission spans over 20 years.
