The BVI Financial Services Commission updated operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Notice to Trade Marks Agents

The Office of the Registrar of Trade Marks, Patents and Copyright is open for business. We have adjusted our operations to accommodate our approved trade mark agents whose offices may have been damaged through the passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria. These changes will remain in force until further notice.

Submission of Applications for Registration

Applications for Registrations may be submitted electronically via the email address [email protected]. To assist with the efficient processing of new applications please include the representation of the trade mark and the list of goods and services for which registration is sought in the same email with FORM TM 1. The Registrar may make a request for an original copy of any document submitted via email.

Physical Searches

Staff will be available to facilitate physical searches of the trade mark registration files between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:30 pm on Monday through Friday.

Certificates of Registration

Certificates of registration will be sent via PDF email. Hard copies will also be available for collection in the usual manner.

Notice to Industry Practitioners

While we are in business continuity mode, the Registry of Corporate Affairs would appreciate your cooperation in providing confirmation as to where documents should be printed for collection by a representative of your firm. The following locations are available for document collection:

         BVI House Asia
         ROCA BVI office
         BVI House London (estimated availability beginning Wednesday, 4 October)
