The general public is HEREBY ADVISED that the captioned entities, (some often associated with persons using the names Dr. C.H Gronchi, B.H. Betronelli/Bertonelli, Mellencamp, and Thomas Floyd), are not licensed to conduct banking business in or from within the British Virgin Islands nor are they incorporated or registered in the British Virgin Islands and that extreme caution should be exercised in dealing with them. The Financial Services Commission should always be contacted to verify the regulated status of any company purporting to be registered or authorised in the BVI. 

Background 
The Financial Services Commission of the British Virgin Islands has over the past several months received, and continues to receive, inquiries from persons who are approached by entities using the above names or combinations thereof. The individual names Dr. C.H. Gronchi, B.H. Betronelli/Bertonelli, Mellencamp, and Thomas Floyd recur in several of the inquiries. Arbitrary and fictitious information is sometimes quoted for a postal address, date of incorporation, registration number and licence number. Persons are strongly cautioned against dealing with these entities.
