BVI FINANCIAL SERVICES COMMISSION ANNOUNCES 12 DECEMBER 2024
MEET THE REGULATOR FORUM

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 27 November 2024, The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) today announced that its anticipated end of 2024 Meet the Regulator (MTR) Forum will be held on 12 December 2024 at the Eileen L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, Paraquita Bay, Tortola, Virgin Islands.

The importance of this MTR for the BVI financial services sector and its stakeholders cannot be understated, as it will feature presentations on the filing of beneficial ownership information and recent amendments to the BVI Business Companies Act and the Limited Partnership Act.

Managing Director and CEO – Mr Kenneth Baker stated, “This MTR is a critical engagement with our stakeholders as we seek to explain the changes to our laws and regulations, and how the beneficial ownership regime will be implemented. We hope this will assist with timely and full compliance and help stakeholders to serve their clients more efficiently."

Industry practitioners are encouraged to register early when the portal opens (on 29 November 2024), as seating is expected to fill up quickly.  Provisions will also be made for stakeholders to submit questions in advance of the MTR.
