FSC PUBLISHES FAQs ON BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP IMPLEMENTATION

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – 17 January 2025 – As promised during its 12 December 2024 Meet the Regulator Forum, the BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) today announced the release of a slew of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) pertaining to Beneficial Ownership Implementation.  The FAQs seek to address commonly raised questions in relation to filing documents in connection with legal arrangements, trust, nominee shareholders, and beneficial owners, while also covering issues such as fees, troubleshooting, and exemptions.

Director of Registry of Corporate Affairs - the Registrar, Mrs Myrna P. Herbert noted that “the FAQs will provide a valuable reference point for the Commission’s clients and will also assist with efficiency and improving customer experience as they seek to comply with the new beneficial ownership filing obligations”.  

The FAQs may be accessed by visiting HERE on the Commission’s website.
