BVI FSC Business Continuity Update: Operations

The BVI Financial Services Commission ("the Commission") remains in compliance with the most recent curfew orders and other measures issued by the Government of the Virgin Islands.  See below for further updates on the operations, business hours, and availability of services for the Commission's offices in BVI and Hong Kong during the upcoming week. 

BVI Offices
Our physical offices in the British Virgin Islands remain closed to the public.  In-office processing of transactions by all divisions continues daily from Monday 04 May 2020. Certificate collection and payment drop off details below.

HK Office
Our Asia Representative Office in Hong Kong is closed to the public. In-Office Processing of transactions continues daily from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. 

 

Registered Agents should note the following:

Certificate Collection
The collection of hard copies of certificates continues daily by appointment only from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. please contact us on 284-541-3443 from Monday 04 May 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Agents are asked to adhere to our Contactless Certificate Collection Guidelines.

Special Certificates and Certifications
Certifications and special certificates processed through our VIRRGIN system will be available for collection at the Registry of Corporate Affairs in the BVI.

Dropping Off Certificates for the Registry 
Agents who wish to return certificates and other documents to the Registry are asked to email 
Client Services with a detailed explanation for the return.

Once the email is received, the usual ticket number will be assigned.  After the ticket number is received, agents should use the temporary drop box at the Commission’s Administration Building (18 Pasea Estate Road).

Documents to be returned should be in a sealed envelope and identified by the ticket number provided by Client Services. The Registry will not accept any documents at the Registry of Corporate Affairs building.

Payments to the Commission
Acceptance of cheque payments for deposit accounts, regulatory fees, and any other payments due to the Commission, will continue only via the temporary drop-box facility at the Commission's Administration building (18 Pasea Estate Road). Cheques dropped off to replenish deposit accounts before 11:30 a.m. will be processed on the same day.
