BVI FSC ANNOUNCES THE RETIREMENT OF YOLANDA MCCOY
Road Town, Tortola – The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) today announced that Deputy Director for Prudential Supervision in the Authorisation and Supervision Division (ASD), Mrs Yolanda McCoy has retired with effect from 29 February 2024.
Mrs McCoy, a previous long-time banker, dedicated over 17 years to financial services regulation. She joined the Commission in 2007 as the officer responsible for Compliance Inspection, after which she took up the role of Deputy Director in the Banking Insolvency and Fiduciary Services Division before moving into her substantive latterly role.
Deputy Managing Director for Regulation, Mr Glenford Malone, stated, “Mrs McCoy has played a vital role in the evolution of Commission’s supervisory framework. Not only was she committed to diligent service, but she also served as a professional and personal mentor to many of her co-workers. The Commission is extremely grateful for Mrs McCoy’s contributions and will miss her. We wish her the best for a well-deserved retirement.”
