AML/CFT Returns Deadline
The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) is reminding all licensees that the deadline for submitting AML/CFT returns for the 2024 reporting period is 31 March 2025.
Persons that are required to file annual AML/CFT returns include:
- a person holding a licence issued pursuant to any of the following-
- Section 10 (1) of the Banks and Trust Companies Act, 1990;
- Section 4 (3) of the Company Management Act, 1990;
- Section 6 (2) of the Securities and Investment Business Act, 2010;
- Section 8 (2) of the Insurance Act, 2008;
- Section 476 of the Insolvency Act, 2003;
- Section 9 (2) of the Financing and Money Services, 2010;
- a person holding a licence as an insurance manager or insurance intermediary pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Insurance Act, 2008;
- a person approved as an approved investment manager pursuant to regulation 7 (1) of the Investment Business (Approved Managers) Regulations, 2012; or
- a person registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) pursuant to section 7(1) of the Virtual Assets Service Providers Act, 2022.
All returns should be filed using the Commission’s VIRRGIN Returns System, which can be accessed at https://amlreturns.bvifsc.vg/#/.
Users who are not currently registered must register through the ‘New User Registration’ link on the login page. Once registered, licensees will be able to complete their AML/CFT returns online and submit them directly to the Commission.
