BVI FSC invites comments on amendments to Regulatory Code
Tortola, British Virigin Islands – 7 July, 2010 – As part of its commitment to involve stakeholders in the process for introducing and implementing financial services regulation, the BVI Financial Services Commission (FSC) is inviting comments on the proposed amendments to the Regulatory Code, 2009.
The Regulatory Code, which came into effect on 1 February, 2010, supports and provides detailed explanations on primary financial services legislation.
The FSC strongly encourages practitioners and other industry stakeholders to review, evaluate and comment on the proposed amendments to the Regulatory Code which has been posted in its entirety to the Publications section of the FSC's website www.bvifsc.vg. The consultation period is open until 31 august, 2010; please send comments electronically to [email protected]
