BVI FSC TO HOST MEET THE REGULATOR FORUM IN HONG KONG

Tortola, British Virgin Islands – The BVI Financial Services Commission (the Commission) is scheduled to host a Meet the Regulator (MTR) Forum in Hong Kong on Monday, 20 May 2024. The closed MTR Forum, which will bring together financial services industry stakeholders, regulatory professionals, and business leaders, is scheduled to take place at the Conrad Hotel Hong Kong, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Admiralty.

The MTR Forum offers the Commission a critical opportunity to meet with global partners, retain a strong foundation for dialogue and collaboration, and promote partnerships through transparency and targeted outreach.

Managing Director and CEO of the Commission – Mr Kenneth Baker, stated: “The Commission is dedicated to fostering deliberations in line with our commitment to transparency, and which align with our aim for a regulatory framework characterised by integrity and stability. When the Commission facilitates dialogue with those who are diligently promoting BVI financial services business, we are not just enabling first-person information transfer, but are also aiding client service practitioners to deliver on top-notch service standards to those whom they represent.”

The Commission delegate at the MTR Forum will be Deputy Managing Director for Regulation – Mr Glenford Malone, who is scheduled to address the following topics:

AML/CFT Implementation RE: VI 4th Round Mutual Evaluation Report
Financial Returns Order
