Update on Operations at the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission - Press Release No. 1 of 2017 (15 September 2017)

TORTOLA – 15 September 2017 – The BVI Financial Services Commission (the “Commission”) is continuing to update the industry as operations begin to return to normal levels in the wake of Hurricane Irma.  Today, the Commission provides the industry several critical updates:

GENERAL OPERATIONAL UPDATES:

·        All scheduled Compliance Inspections have been suspended until 31 December, 2017

·        Transaction processing for regulatory matters resumes Monday, 18 September 2017

·        Meetings of the Licensing and Supervisory Committee will resume the week of 18  
         September 2017

·        Temporary Commission operating hours continue from 9:30am to 2:00pm daily
